5. Mystic Farm & Distillery Durham, NC
July 30 (Tue)
We said goodbye to Dan and Tracy and headed to our first Harvest Host and first boondocking experience (no electricity or water).
The place is closed to the public on Mondays and Tuesdays, but there was a private event being held that day. Nevertheless, Steve was treated to his own private wine tasting by brewmaster Sasquatch (we never did find out his name). He and his lady trainee were sweet as could be.
As you can see, we were the only RV staying there. Once we started setting up, we realized we didn't have the correct adaptor to run the AC with the generator. So off we went to good old Wally World to get one. Phew! Crisis averted.
Some random guy knocked on our door to ask for a jumpstart, which made Ofelia a little nervous. Thankfully, we had a safe night. Thanks, Chris, for your prayers!
