17. Spook Hill Bar & Grill, Adams Center, NY
Aug 21-22 (Wed-Thu)
This little car gave us quite a scare. The driver pulled right in front of us and slowed down to 15 mph 😡 Steve had to slam the brakes which is not easy to do when you're pulling a 6-ton RV! 😳 We missed him by inches. We were so thankful for God's protection.
Ofelia sent us on a shortcut that turned out to be a closed road. This "shortcut" ended up delaying us about an hour. Steve had quite a time turning us around. At times like these, Ofelia misses her little CRV.
After we set up the RV at our Harvest Host, we drove 15 minutes to Watertown, NY to have dinner with Steve's cousin Linda, who he hadn't seen since they were kids.
The next day, we went to the Burrville Cedar Mill. It had a cute little store with tons of homemade jellies and jams, hot fresh cinnamon doughnuts, crafts, candies, did I say hot fresh cinnamon doughnuts? and of course ... apples. There was even a waterfall behind the mill!
On the way to Cousin Linda's, we found this gorgeous waterfall by the side of the road.
We had lunch with Linda at a cool little diner called Shorty's that had mini jukeboxes at each table!
We had dinner at Spookhill and it was excellent! We concluded the night with an fantastic sunset! God is good!
